A summer placement working in a team, and as an individual, on the company's in-house software system (AutoRek) and redesigning and migrating the company's intranet site from MOSS 2003 to MOSS 2007. Projects included:

• Creating an application to allow clients to load data directly from MS Excel into AutoRek.
• Creating reports based on system data.
• Redesigning the company's intranet site.

Summer 2004/05/06 - Phillips Gardening Services (PGS), Killearn

A summer job working on various small and larger scale projects with others and independently. Responsibilities and projects included:

• Arranging work.
• Discussing customer needs.
• Driving van to and from jobs and suppliers.
• Supervising other workers.

Summer 2003 - Stockwell Bazaar, Glasgow

Stockroom Assistant Responsibilities included:

• Taking deliveries.
• Assigning index numbers to new stock and organising them in the stock room.

My ambitions for my future career are to work on developing and utilising cutting edge technologies in the IT and engineering industries. I would also like to work developing large scale web applications either in conjunction with other companies or as individual projects.

In my spare time I enjoy playing various sports. I have played football for a club team, at regional level, had two trials for Scotland and am currently training with the University team. Playing in a team at this level has improved my team working and communication skills. I am also a keen web designer where I have created websites for family members' businesses, local organisations and various personal projects
